"They're front line humanity," said CEO Don Mullin.  "And they do it every day.  And they do it with such compassion and care. for the folks that we support. I can't even put it into words what it means to people, what they do for us."

During this health crisis, those workers are helping people with disabilities with personal care, and manage stress and anxiety about major changes.  They're doing Zoom therapy sessions and phone trees.

"They're all so well deserving of everything and anything and they've been working non-stop for all our folks," said Chrisse Rasmussen, who was there with son Matt.

"People are standing up, stepping up," said Mullin.  "It's  humbling to be a leader to have such great people that want to help out. And basically everyone's saying whatever it takes, we're going to get through this."

All the food-- the mac and cheese, pulled pork, baked beans, and barbecue chicken and pork-- came from Howard Gross.

He's the owner of the electronic records management company eBizDocs, where more than half the workers identify as disabled.

He usually hosts a barbecue, but since they can't have it this year, they're doing it this way.

"It was a mission of love and I could not be happier," said Gross.  "And I know everybody's going to like the food.  They liked it last year, and they're going to like it again."

The direct support professionals are working on the front lines and Gross wants them to hear the message of support.

"That we care," he said.  "That they're doing great things and we really do appreciate them.  That they really really are appreciated."
