While every day at Walt Disney World is filled with magical memories, a Walt Disney World Thanksgiving celebration is sprinkled with a little extra pixie dust. If it is the year to skip cooking the turkey and worrying about copious amounts of leftovers, the Thanksgiving food feast at Disney Parks is waiting to be enjoyed.
Usually everyone has a favorite Walt Disney World food. From the iconic Dole Whip to Mickey shaped food options, tempting treats are everywhere. Add to those tasty food options the various Epcot food festivals and other limited-edition choices, there is never a lack of deliciousness.
What special food is available for a Walt Disney World Thanksgiving?
Although first time guests might prefer to skip a visit on the actual holiday, theme park veterans might want to skip the family table drama and hit Disney Parks. Luckily, the Disney chefs will be serving a variety of Thanksgiving favorites for one day only, November 25.
Several Animal Kingdom restaurants will be serving their take on Thanksgiving favorites. For example, Restaurantosaurus will be serving an Open-Faced Thanksgiving Turkey Sandwich. The cornbread waffle is piled high with smoked turkey breast, cranberry sauce and gravy. It has an entire feast in one bite.
At Satu’li Canteen, a special bowl has been added to the menu just for November 25. The Thanksgiving Bowl features cornbread stuffing, roasted turkey, cranberry boba pearls, gravy and slaw. Those cranberry boba pearls might change many people’s take on cranberries and Thanksgiving.
Lastly, Tiffins is offering an elevated take on the Thanksgiving dinner. Featuring a turkey roulade, no one will worry about a dry bird. It is served with whipped potatoes, wild mushrooms, sweet potato pave, maple-glazed carrots, cornbread dressing, green bean casserole and turkey gravy. This is the Thanksgiving meal that you wished grandma would make.
While Animal Kingdom is bringing all the holiday favorites, the Daily Poutine at Disney Springs has a Thanksgiving flavor inspired offering. Available all the ways through December 30, it ensures that a great tasting turkey dish can be enjoyed this holiday season.
The Gobbler Poutine features turkey, brown gravy, cheese curds and cranberry chutney. It is the perfect combination of sweet and savory.
These food options are just a few of the many menu items available both on Thanksgiving and throughout the holiday season. The best gift to give this year is to skip the cooking and let the Disney chefs handle all the work. Isn’t that the tastiest part of the Disney magic?
