We enjoyed a nice lunch at the River Belle Terrace, which reopened with the Disneyland Resort with both indoor and outdoor seating.
The queue for those with reservations follows the restaurant outdoor dining area.
In the queue, signs display QR codes so that Guests may check-in for their Dining Reservation or to see current availability.
Safety signage is placed outside the restaurant along with hand sanitizer stations.
The podium has a plexiglass barrier for Cast Members’ safety.
You can view the menu online by scanning the QR code before you enter the restaurant, but paper menus are still available by request.
The umbrella lined outdoor dining area is spaced out with physical distancing.
We went to see how things were structured inside the restaurant. And although the indoor podium does not have a plexiglass barrier, the Cast Member is equipped with a face shield in addition to a face mask, ready to seat Guests.
The indoor dining is open and ensures physical distancing by spacing parties apart, keeping tables vacant.
Parties of all sizes are allowed in both outdoor and indoor seating.
Skillet Brisket Mac & Cheese – $22.00
With Pimento, Manchego, and Provolone Cheese, topped with Fried Onions and Brisket
This is a very rich dish. The macaroni itself is okay, but the toppings truly make the dish.
Provolone and Manchego cheese blend together for an intense, zesty taste that’s a little bit on the salty side.
The crumbly texture on the top was much needed and broke up the richness a bit. The pimento added a bit of sweetness to the dish but nothing too noticeable.
The fried onions on top were perfect and also added a good contrast with the pasta. Definitely note to get some in every bite.
The brisket was mixed in subtly and we barely even noticed it. We wish there was a tad bit more. This would be a great meal for a cooler day at Disneyland.
Cookies and Cream Pudding – $7.00
Dark Chocolate Pudding with Chantilly Cream, topped with Cookie Dust and a Dipped Cookie Sandwich
Though the pudding was good, we wouldn’t say it’s anything exceptional.
We couldn’t tell it was dark chocolate as it tasted just as sweet as milk chocolate. The Chantilly Cream was okay—just whipped cream, nothing special.
Getting a scoop of both together is the way to go. The “dipped cookie sandwich” is literally an Oreo.
There are better sweets around the park for the money but if you like chocolate pudding, go for this one.
