Even these days, especially these days, wouldn’t it be nice to feast on a plethora of tiny little snackables so warm and flavorful and fancy that they seem like they were professionally catered – but you did it yourself and it was 1-2-3 convenient?
Hello, Savorly, glad to meet you and your pop-’em-in-the-oven cocktail bites and mini pies!
Glad to have a frozen and then, hey-presto!, fresh-from-the-oven tray of delicate puff pastries stuffed with Emmental cheese, with spinach and ricotta, with tomato and veggies, and with (best of all) olive tapenade.
[Note: Did you know, reader, that we love tapenade? Did you know that we once spent an entire night in the boondocks of Dothan, Alabama, driving through the rain in a dying Hyundai, searching for a proper jar of the stuff?]
Glad, too, to munch on that other Savorly offering, those mini pies of theirs – tiny things! adorable! but also tasty AF and, cumulatively, filling – those mini pies that come in four varieties: goat cheese, honey & rosemary, mushroom, and red pepper & mozzeralla.
[Note: C’mon, Savorly. Make the next logical leap, will you? How about filling some of those mini pies with tapenade? The possibility is right there in front of you – leverage the goddam synergy, already. We know the two founders of your company grew up together in Belgium and then moved to Brooklyn – of course it was Brooklyn – and started this whole European-inflected baking endeavor there. Don’t make us conjure the ghost of Hergé to haunt you, now. Give us more tapenade, are you listening, Savorly? MOAR! MOAR!]

… and also glad to note that these Savorly treats are proudly carried in the freezer section of Whole Foods. Which grocery chain, regardless of who owns it now – oh, shut up, Jeff, go play with your money – started out right here in Austin.
