Caldo – Caldo (2019)
Caldo (broth) is a charming fiddle and guitar duo from Galicia in northwestern Spain. Their debut album features a combination of lively instrumental tunes and songs. The music selection includes original compositions by guitarist Pedro Fariñas as well as traditional music from the Garrido sisters (Rosa and Aída) repertory, in the Moscoso region of southwestern Galicia.
Fiddler María Jorge is involved in various folk music projects. Meanwhile, Pedro Fariñas is a respected guitarist in the traditional music field and is also a piper.
The duo brought in guest musician Anaïs Barbier who provided vocals and played tambourine as well.
