FANWOOD, NJ -- Tasty Thai is the latest entrant into the Scotch Plains-Fanwood food scene.
Opening at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 25, at the former location of the long-closed Rice Inn on South Martine Ave. in Fanwood, the owners of the restaurant have transformed the inside by giving it tables, chairs, and a fresh, clean look.
The lunch menu features classic Pad Thai (sautéed rice noodles with bean curd, bean sprouts, scallion, egg and peanuts), fried rice and various curry dishes. The restaurant's dinner menu consists of delicacies, such as Mango Duck (topped with baby potatoes, baby carrot, string bean and broccoli with aa special mango sauce), Prik Khing Salmon (with red bell pepper, green pepper, string bean, carrot and kaffir lime leaf with a special Thai sauce), Tilapia Choo Chee (stir fry crispy Tilapia with mix vegetables with a Thai style Choo Chee curry sauce), and Koong Lard Prik (crispy fried Shrimp topped with mix vegetables and spicy chili sauce).
Hours:
Lunch -- Tuesday to Friday 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Dinner -- Tuesday to Thursday 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Friday 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Saturday 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Sunday 12:00 Noon to 9:00 p.m.
