The now-digital Jefferson County Historical Society First Friday Lecture Series — this year focused on women’s voices, experiences, and innovations specifically — returns at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2 for a food-centric conversation moderated by Finnriver’s Crystie Kisler.
The discussion, society officials said, is all about our connections to the work and life of food and “will highlight an array of perspectives from women working in different positions in the community food shed.”
Guests include Melony Edwards (food and fiber farmer), Micaela Colley (seed researcher and advocate), Amanda Milholland (farmers market and retail produce professional), Rufina Gary (chef and food advocate), Julie Boggs (farmer and rancher), and Charlotte Frederickson (farmer and rancher).
There is a suggested donation of $10 to “attend,” and a recording of the program will be available to all registered participants.
