It's not a secret that pork chops are a favorite of mine to cook for dinner. Pork chops are versatile, cook quickly and are a budget-friendly ingredient. I also love trying new spices and spice blends. My latest discovery is a Cuban spice blend.
Cuban spice blends differ from brand to brand, but typically include garlic, onion, cumin, oregano, bell pepper and a citrus note. My blend was made with orange peel, adding a delicious citrusy back note to the pork chops.
To make this simple and easy pork chop recipe you will need three ingredients: pork chops, olive oil and a Cuban seasoning blend. The pork chops cook up quickly in a skillet and are moist, juicy and crispy.
Serve these pork chops for dinner with your favorite side dishes. I served mine with Cuban fried potatoes and two-ingredient creamed spinach (both recipes coming soon).

Recipe Notes
- Check the ingredient list and see if your Cuban spice blend has salt. Mine did not, so I added salt to the pork chops. But if your blend does, you may want to skip this step.
- I used thin-cut pork chops which cook very quickly. You can use thicker pork chops or even boneless pork chops, but that will affect cooking time.
Here's how to make it:
- Rub or drizzle the pork chops with olive oil. Sprinkle both sides with the Cuban seasoning and salt pepper, if desired (see Recipe Notes).
- Heat a little olive oil in a skillet. Add the pork chops and cook until golden brown and crispy on one side.
- Flip the pork chops over and continue to cook until cooked through.
