Eric Brauchle will provide live music at this year’s Taste of Atascosa.

The Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce’s Taste of Atascosa is back and better than ever Wednesday, Nov. 2 at the Pleasanton Country Club from 6-9 p.m. Tickets are $20 for the fun and tasty evening event, which includes scrumptious food and live music. There will also be a silent auction and live entertainment provided by Eric Brauchle.

Top local restaurants and eateries will offer you the best tastes of their foods – sweet and savory. Texas Prime BBQ, who was the 2021 Taste of Atascosa Grand Champion winner, will be back, and a new participant that locals go crazy over will be Hippie Crawfish. There will be a wide selection of Atascosa County’s finest, including Café Chris, Sely’s, Drop the Sauce BBQ, Twelve 28 Bakery, Southern Sweets Bakery, Red Velvet Café & Bakery, The Potato Company, The Office Bar & Grill, and many more. Follow the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce and the Pleasanton Express’ Facebook pages for updates.

“We were so excited to bring back Taste of Atascosa last year and promote some of our best local restaurants,” said Cindy Mumm, Executive Director of Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce. “The event exceeded our expectations, with such a large and happy crowd. We are excited to help it grow and promote these wonderful businesses.”

It was a battle of the best last year as those in attendance voted on their choice for champion. The 1st Place Grand Champion was Texas Prime BBQ, with 2nd Place Reserve Grand Champion going to The Backyard Kitchen, Cowboys Smoke House BBQ won 3rd and 4th place went to The Office Bar & Grill, 5th place to Chrizzy’s Creation and Best Booth to Southern Sweets.

Chamber is so excited to have Eric Brauchle as live entertainment. Eric is no stranger to the Corpus Christi area music scene. As the frontman for the band Dead Reckon, he has been playing South Texas country and hillbilly jazz in bars and breweries all around the Corpus area. But even though Eric calls Corpus home, he has strong ties to Pleasanton. The 26-year-old singer/ songwriter/guitarist spent his formative years hunting and having fun on his family’s ranch north of Pleasanton.

Huge thank you to the following sponsors for helping to make the Taste of Atascosa possible – Gold: Paisleys, Price Chevrolet, Allways Auto Group, Ford of Pleasanton, Critzer Compression, Security State Bank Sely’s and Pleasanton Express. Silver: Rakowitz Engineering, Hurley Funeral Home, Muddy Paws, Chicoine Insurance and Eagle Lube

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to taste-test a variety of food and drinks by the finest chefs and cooks! Restaurants entry is free and there are still slots available for those that want to participate. Contact Cindy Mumm at (830) 569- 2163 for details.
