The Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens in San Marino is hosting five days of fun for the whole family – calling it “The Funtington: Family Fun with The Huntington!”
These events start on Monday, November 2, with Metamorphosis Monday, where Kate Zankowicz, Youth and Family Programs and Community Engagement Manager at The Huntington, shows her monarch caterpillars, and how they transform into delightful butterflies.
Tuesday, November 3, is Tasty Tuesday, featuring a day of family fun with songs and kitchen magic as Bob Blumer, the Kitchen Magician, shows you how to make the ultimate Breakfast in Bed. Later on, join staffer Riz as she explores tasty tea parties through The Huntington’s art collections and become inspired to have your own.
Each day through “The Funtington: Family Fun” week, pre-recorded activity-based videos will be released at 10 a.m. and will be available to watch any time after.
On Tasty Tuesday, Kitchen Magician Bob shares his recipe for Banana French Toast, downloadable from The Huntington’s website, www.huntington.org. Riz’s Play-Doh recipe for her Tea Party is also available for download.
Throughout the five days of online fun, Bhi Bhiman sings the daily Funtington song, “Best Friends” on video. You can grab your pots and pans as you tune in and dance and sing along.
