Here, we share a few of our most loved comfort food recipes made with a childhood favourite, Princes Corned Beef, for a tempting teatime you can rely on again and again.
Banging burgers

Burger night is sure to lift the spirits! Knock up our hearty homemade burgers by mixing 340g of chopped Princes Corned Beef with three tablespoons of caramelised onion chutney, one teaspoon each of dried mixed herbs and English mustard, 50g of breadcrumbs, one small grated carrot and a beaten egg in a bowl.
Season, let stand for five minutes then form into four patties. Cover and refrigerate for 20 minutes. Preheat the grill to medium-high, lightly brush the burgers with oil and cook for five minutes each side on a foil lined baking tray.
Add cheese and continue grilling until just melting, then serve in a lightly toasted bun topped with sliced tomato, crisp lettuce and a little mayo – add a few gherkins and tuck in.

Fry up a few sliced bell peppers and an onion for ten minutes then stir in chunks of Princes Corned Beef and three tablespoons of your favourite BBQ sauce and cook over a high heat for three minutes.
Add a pinch of brown sugar and a splash of Worcestershire sauce to taste then assemble into taco shells, topping with smashed avocado, jalapenos and grated cheese, or keep it simple with some cheese, chopped iceberg lettuce and sliced tomato.

Make a basic batter using 100g plain flour mixed with one beaten egg then slowly combine 75ml milk and 50ml water, beating for two minutes. Stand for two minutes then coat slices of Princes Corned Beef in a dusting of flour, then with the batter mixture and deep fry at 170C until perfectly golden and crisp.

We can't get enough of these saucy Corned beef and bean brunch pots which make a tasty belly-warming dish any time of day.
Preheat the oven to 170C and place a large oven-proof dish half filled with water on the top shelf.
Meanwhile, heat a can of baked beans and a can of Princes Corned Beef, cubed, in a saucepan and stir in a teaspoon of smoked paprika and 5g each of chopped fresh dill and parsley.
Once simmering, divide the beef and bean mix into four medium-large ramekins, make a well and break an egg into each. Sprinkle with feta cheese and place in the dish of warm water as a bain-marie, then cook for around 15 minutes until the whites are set and the yolks runny.
Scatter a few toasted pine nuts and a sprig of coriander on top if you are feeling fancy. Serve with hot buttered toast for dipping. Enjoy!

Sweet Potato and Corned Beef Hash

Sweet potatoes are packed full of vitamin A, fibre and other nutrients and make a low cost, fuss-free dinner when paired with Princes Corned Beef and gloriously runny eggs; make a delicious Sweet Potato and Corned Beef Hash by boiling 750g of sweet potato chunks in salted water while frying a chopped red onion in oil for around four minutes, before stirring a teaspoon of smoked paprika in to the onion and adding the cooked, drained potatoes.
Cook gently for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, then add 100g of baby spinach until wilted, and a can of Princes Corned Beef in cubes. Allow the corned beef to heat through while you fry four eggs in a separate pan. Divide between four, top with an egg and a sprinkling of paprika.
Incredible chilli con carne
Chilli con carne is a failsafe weekday winter warmer. Up the convenience and comfort factor by making it with Princes Corned Beef for an even more budget-friendly, flavoursome twist on the classic: fry a chopped onion and crushed garlic clove in oil until soft, then add a teaspoon of ground cumin and chilli powder to taste and cook down for another minute.

Add in a tin of tomatoes, a tablespoon of tomato puree and 150ml of beef stock. Bring to a simmer, cover loosely and cook gently for ten minutes before stirring in two cans of Princes Corned Beef, cubed, a tin of drained kidney beans and 5g chopped fresh coriander leaves. Let cook for another ten minutes and serve on jacket potatoes or rice.
Corned Beef Keema
Put down the takeaway menu, Princes Corned Beef makes a mouthwatering Indian fakeaway cooked up into a Corned Beef Keema.
This delicious Keema is made with garam masala, cumin, coriander and a pinch of turmeric
Simply fry up a chopped onion and two crushed cloves of garlic in a drizzle of oil with a teaspoon each of ground cumin and coriander and a pinch of turmeric until soft and fragrant – around ten minutes.
Add in a tablespoon of garam masala, a tablespoon each of chopped fresh ginger, green chilli and tomato puree and cook for two minutes.
Stir in the corned beef, finely chopped, a handful of peas and lots of chopped fresh coriander and serve with rice.
