If you get your water supply from the city of Grand Junction, the next time you head to the tap to quench your thirst you might want to take a pause before drinking.

Look at the water’s clarity, sniff it for a possible scent, swirl it around, then take a sip.

Juniata Reservoir, located near Grand Mesa, is where the city of Grand Junction stores water coming off Grand Mesa in the Kannah Creek watershed. That water flows down Kannah Creek and eventually into the taps of Grand Junction residents. The water from Grand Junction recently took second place in the American Water Works Association water taste test competition.
