Tasty Waffle expands with second restaurant in Plainfield - The Herald-News

Plainfield welcomed another new restaurant to town this week.

Tasty Waffle opened at 24040 W. 119th St., its second area location.

The owner, Ted Elefteriadis, said the restaurant will feature the same breakfast and brunch options as its first location in Romeoville.

“I like the location, the area,” Elefteriadis said of the Tasty Waffle’s new spot in Plainfield.

Elefteriadis opened the first restaurant in 2006 at 642 S. Weber Road in Romeoville.

He added he was very pleased with how successful the opening of the second restaurant was, as he purposely didn’t advertise it in advance.

“It was excellent,” he said.

Elefteriadis said among the most popular items at the Tasty Waffle are the waffles, wraps, pancakes and crepes.

The Plainfield location will operate under the same hours as the Romeoville restaurant: 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. seven days a week.
