Rt. 67 is a secondary state highway that runs for 31 miles between New Milford and Woodbridge, Connecticut. It was known as the Oxford Turnpike when it was chartered in May of 1795, and it was one of the earliest private toll roads in Connecticut.
In 1932, the road was dubbed Rt. 67, and then underwent numerous realignments through the 1940s, 50s, and 60s until its final shift to terminate at the Rt. 63 interchange in Woodbridge in 1964. In 2022, it's a beautiful, tree-lined road to take a weekend day trip along. New Milford, Roxbury, Southbury, Oxford, Seymour, and Woodbridge are all nice towns that offer a business or restaurant for everyone.
Pack up the family, and take a leisurely, tree-lined drive on a warm weekend day this Summer along Rt. 67, here's a few places to stop and enjoy along the way.
