EAST CONCORD, NY (WKBW-TV} — It could be the perfect cure for your "cabin fever". Wendel's Poultry Farm in East Concord is offering their weekend chicken BBQ's.
The business is celebrating seventy-five years and Marty Wendel is a third generation family member. He says "we've been doing this a number of years and each year it gets bigger and bigger."
The farm is known for their turkeys at Thanksgiving, pumpkins in the Fall and maple syrup in the Spring. This time of year it's there fresh from the grill, chicken BBQ's that is a crowd pleaser.
Marty's son Nick has been on the front line of the bbq for a couple of decades and he knows a thing or two about cooking chickens saying "there's a thin line between raw chicken, done chicken and dry chicken and you got to get it done exactly. Medium rare doesn't cut it."
The picnic tables are out so you can eat there or order ahead to take it to go. The dinners will be available Saturday & Sundays through the end of October.
