Californians are still enjoying sliding on snow thanks to a plethora of the white fluffy stuff falling this past winter. In fact, Mammoth Mountain recorded the most snowfall in a single season.
The video below shows skier Stephen Siska (@generationalbirdwatcher) throwing a tasty 360 with a smooth tail tap at Mammoth. Watch as he almost hits the cameraman!
That was a close call, but I have a feeling that's exactly how they drew this one up.
Landing tail taps, hand drags, and near misses with cameramen is all part of the freeskiing game these days. Any pro can spin to win a competition, but stacking iPhone clips with a unique style is what the people really want to see.
Siska has plenty of style to film such clips. I highly recommend every skier with a remote interest in the park give him a follow.

Mammoth Mountain is remaining open daily for skiing and riding through August 6th. It's the third time in the resort's history that they've remained open into the month of August.
Following the mountain's closure this weekend, Timberline Lodge, Oregon will be the only outdoor ski resort still open to the public in North America.
