Rocket Fizz opens on North Main Street

Tasty As Fit closes

Tasty As Fit, a “grab-n-go” restaurant with a focus on healthy options, announced Thursday it would close its doors on Oct. 7 due to labor shortages.

Owner Emilie Blanchard said that although Greenville has been welcoming and the shop performed well since the restaurant opened at 3017 Augusta Road at the start of 2021, Blanchard’s sister, who runs the store, will be getting married and moving in October.

After interviewing and training five candidates in the past seven months, the restaurant was unable to find a match due to the job being “labor-intensive” as the menu changes every week.

Blanchard said the decision was one of the most difficult she’s ever had to make.

“I’m so, so sorry to take this out of the community,” she said, noting that the demand from Greenville was high.

AC Hotel to hold tasting with Mill Village Ministries

AC Hotel in downtown Greenville will hold a tasting in its rooftop restaurant Juniper on Oct. 3, with Mill Village Ministries, a youth-development program aiming to assist under-resourced communities using sustainable agriculture.

The event, officially titled “Rooftop Regale” features chefs, mixologists and musicians with all proceeds from the event benefiting the program.
