EASTHAMPTON — The former Tasty Top site at 93-97 Northampton St. was sold for $2.2 million following the city’s approval of plans to build a Starbucks coffee shop on part of the 33-acre property.
The now-closed Tasty Top ice cream stand on busy Route 10 has been the subject of many failed development proposals over the years, including a Stop & Shop and a complex for marijuana retail, growing and analysis. None of it was ever built.
But in March, the Easthampton Planning Board approved a 2,200-square-foot Starbucks with 33 parking spaces and a drive-thru for the spot.
